Job Description
The Global Commercial Marketing Programs Director is responsible for managing a team of Global Marketing Program Managers (GMPMs) dedicated to accelerating funnel and revenue generation and increasing brand awareness and customer engagement for Agilent products and services in Clinical and Diagnostics, Molecular Biology and Cell Analysis segments Agilent serves. The position offers the opportunity to demonstrate leadership, people management, business, marketing, and communication skills by leading a high-performance team dedicated to driving marketing strategies, funnel generation, revenue growth, and an enhanced customer experience.
The successful candidate must have proven management experience, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, project management skills, and the proven ability to collaborate and engage with management and key stakeholders cross-functionally.
The Global Commercial Marketing Programs Director will report to the Global Commercial Marketing Programs AVP.
Responsibilities
- Overall management of the global team’s marketing programs, including managing the development of strategies and specific programs to achieve business objectives
- Accountable for the deliverables, performance, and outcomes of the Global MPM team focused on marketing programs for Clinical and Diagnostics, Molecular Biology, and Cell Analysis
- Lead team to achieve and exceed team and individual targets related to marketing and organization goals. Drive accountability to ensure deliverables and outcomes are met within time and budget requirements
- Member of the relevant stakeholder staff(s). Responsible for aligning, driving, and reporting global marketing plans, performance and initiatives, and for representing Commercial Marketing
- Foster innovation and creativity to ensure impactful, high achieving marketing programs
- Foster a collaborative approach with stakeholders and partners. Work across worldwide teams in commercial operations and marketing, regional sales, market segments, and divisions to understand business strategies and align team marketing plans to ensure effective outcomes
- Measure and evaluate short- and long-term impacts and return on investment of programs and marketing plans
- Foster continuous improvement to drive effectiveness of programs, implementing corrective actions as required, to ensure the delivery of outcomes in line with business and management expectations
- Elevate the Agilent brand by collaborating with global commercial marketing teams to ensure a “One Agilent” voice across all global marketing channels
- Lead people manager related duties such as hiring, performance evaluation and management, expense and contract approvals. Identify training and coaching needs for the team to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Ensure that Agilent Corporate standard business processes are closely followed by team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent and minimum of five years related experience in marketing, plus five years of relevant experience as a first level and second level manager
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills at the worldwide level in implementing program and organization strategies, developing high-performance teams, and change management
- Deep knowledge of Clinical & Diagnostics, Molecular Biology, or Cell Analysis products, services, markets, and market dynamics, and solid understanding of the industry sales process
- Experience in leading and managing the planning and development of market and customer-centric marketing programs that drive demand for Agilent products and services
- Ability to understand the needs and buying influences of Agilent customers
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively throughout multiple hierarchical levels in an international, matrixed, business environment
- Demonstrated business acumen and business analytics skills. Demonstrated results orientation, including developing fact-driven, business goal-focused plans that align with strategic objectives
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder partnerships
- Ability to deal with high pressure, visibility, and workload
- Effective organization and planning skills
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
Additional Details

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $163,600.00 - $306,750.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
