Do you possess expertise in electronic security systems, components, and protocols? Can you effectively explain complex issues in simple terms to individuals with diverse skill sets? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! The Global Facility Management team at Topsoe is currently seeking a Physical Security System Specialist.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Physical Security Systems. This includes tasks such as planning, designing, installing, and maintaining these systems to ensure the safety and security of our organization. You will take the lead on security and safety projects, working closely with a diverse group of colleagues and customers in a dynamic global environment.
Your tasks will among others be:
- Exploring and testing new security technologies, systems, equipment, and products.
- Providing cost-effective technology enhancement suggestions.
- Establishing and enforcing efficient, predictable, and measurable processes and guidelines.
- Delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Coordinating internal stakeholders, consultants, and vendors for seamless integration.
- Conducting risk assessments and collaborating with system operators and security vendors.
- Staying updated on industry best practices for process enhancement.
What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this position possesses a range of valuable skills and qualities. These include curiosity, strong supervisory-, problem-solving-, and customer service skills, which will enable effective management of security systems and interactions with stakeholders. Attention to detail is also essential, particularly when handling complex designs.
The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement is crucial, as is the capacity to diagnose, troubleshoot, and mitigate security systems issues. In addition, you have excellent multitasking abilities, allowing to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Besides this you:
- are proficient in IT network theory/design and can identify network hardware.
- are proficient in software applications such as Excel, Access, Word, and Windows.
- have project management experience, encompassing both office-based and field operations.
- have experience working with global access control systems, intrusion systems, and IP-based video management systems (e.g., Milestone).
- have familiarity with global security regulatory frameworks, including NIS2, CER, DS/EN 60839, DS/EN 50131, and others.
- have a background in security strategy or business transformation.
- have excellent communication skills in both Danish and English, with a global perspective.
