We are now seeking an experienced Head of, who will step into, a newly created role heading up the Retail & Grocery and Strategic Accounts business unit. This position will define the strategy and lead a dedicated and high performing team driving growth in new business areas within the FMCG sector, while expanding and maintaining a strong tone giving partnerships with our key clients in core business areas.

In this role, you will shape and lead the team to ensure we meet our growth objectives. You will define and execute ambitious strategies for the department, taking ownership of the team’s performance, your colleagues' success, and the continued growth of both the company and our partners.

Areas of responsibility
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the department's commercial, managerial and financial objectives are met. In addition, you are responsible for:

  • Lead and shape a high-performing team of six sales professionals.
  • Develop and implement a successful sales strategy for the area, working closely with our Sales Director and Country Director to drive growth and achieve business objectives. This position reports directly to the Sales Director.
  • Establish and negotiate new strategic commercial business areas that set the tone for Just Eat's visionary strategy in Denmark.
  • Conduct successful negotiations with large and small-to-medium chains and local heroes with focus on win win campaign growth plans
  • Maintaining and building relationships with a portfolio of key accounts, to ensure the continuation of business and customer satisfaction.
  • Define and execute category leadership within New Business areas
  • Optimize business processes for an efficient way of working.
  • Ensure good employee development by providing comprehensive sales training, optimizing work processes, and fostering overall employee well-being.
  • Manage all operational after-sales topics and ensure partner satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze market developments and competitive activities.

What do we expect from you?

  • You have senior management experience, exceptional people skills and a good business understanding.
  • You bring at least 10 years of experience leading successful Sales teams, ideally within the hospitality and/or FMCG sector, with a strong focus on driving growth and achieving targets.
  • Your strong communication skills and commercial instinct ensure smooth operation in a structured approach
  • Proven track record for establishing major win-win related partnerships.
  • You’re an organizational talent who never loses track of details.
  • You enjoy solving complex tasks.
  • A master's degree in management, business development, economics or equivalent.
  • You act as a role model and are willing to take on responsibility as an ambassador and thrive in a position where independence is expected.
  • Proficiency in MS Office or Google Tools (Gmail, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • Ideally, you have experience with CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken is a requirement.
