The Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) in Switzerland integrates a number of central functions in the Carlsberg Group: Procurement, Production, Logistics and Planning. ISC manages the brewery network, handles the global procurement processes, sets the global standards for brewing technology, ensures end-to-end planning and aims to deliver world-class logistics and customer service.

Finance Director, Western Europe Procurement

The Purpose of the Position Finance Director WE Procurement is being co-pilot to Head of procurement and a financial leader working closely with procurement leadership team and the markets in the Western Europe region.

The jobholder is responsible for securing delivery of financial results and steering the business value creation through entrepreneurial mindset and strong communication skills.

The role is accountable for assessing financial implications of internal and external factors to our business, going after transparency and ensuring decisions are taken well understanding the financials.

The jobholder should be representing procurement function financials towards senior management in markets and region

Advocating for and driving establishment of transparent, clear, and simple ways of working and processes in procurement area.

Promoting finance performance culture in the organization and developing the finance acumen of the counterparts.

The position will be based in Ziegelbrücke (greater area Zurich), Switzerland. The required skills & competencies to succeed in this role are:

Experience/ Education

  • University degree in Economics, Business administration
  • 10 years of experience mainly in procurement finance, of which 5 years in leadership role
  • Experience from multinational companies and working in matrix structures is an advantage
  • Knowledge of SAP, Power BI is advantage

Language:

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Jointly with head of procurement responsible for continuous improvements on P&L and cash flow.
  • Ensure that finance and procurement teams are monitoring KPIs and financials, proactively identifying and providing recommendations for further value creation
  • Mobilizing resources to enhance management reports and analysis with forward looking business insights to bring key points to the attention of the regional and country business leadership teams; call for feedback and actions
  • Encourage and support procurement teams in understanding, quantifying and managing the risks & opportunities in the plans they need to deliver
  • Coordinate the planning process, follow up on plans with focus on actions to close gaps versus targets.
  • Driving simplification of ways of working and processes in procurement. Supporting the design and development of the procurement processes and tools.
  • Drive Performance management culture in procurement, securing supply of materials, savings and efficiencies using relevant benchmarking with internal- and external best practices.
  • Ensure relevant, timely and good quality information received from CSS team, share procurement priorities with them on a regular basis, define best use of resources, train and develop team members in CSS.
  • Working close with the market finance teams, raise awareness on results, future trends and activities in procurement finance area. Encourage and help them how to use key tools and reports in procurement area.
