Ferring+You
In this role you will be the commercial lawyer responsible for advising the Urology & Uro-Oncology and Gastroenterology franchises and the Global Operations department. You will identify and address legal risks and other opportunities, enabling business success and the achievement of Ferring’s growth agenda in a legally compliant way. You will be accountable for providing legal leadership in a collaborative, strategic, success and solutions-oriented way on product commercialisation and marketing activities, review of promotional materials and other legal matters. This role also includes support for late-stage business development and alliance management projects within the franchises. Over time, we may assess the potential for Reproductive Medicine franchise becoming part of this role, subject to workload.
Your day at Ferring
Advise, educate and guide global, regional and local stakeholders on legal and compliance aspects of all pharmaceutical marketing activities, including promotion, medical education and interactions with healthcare providers
Review and provide practical feedback on promotional materials for pharmaceutical products in a variety of therapeutic areas
Provide legal and strategic advice to internal stakeholders on projects and initiatives
Provide legal and strategic advice on complex commercial agreements and lead negotiations to a successful conclusion
Collaborate effectively with internal global functions including Commercial, Compliance, Privacy, Intellectual Property, Finance and the Science and Medical Organisation
Provide legal advice and support to the Global Operations function to enable excellence in commercial execution, data-driven decisions, streamlining tools and platforms, and digitalisation. Provide legal support and advice to global functions as needed on other Company projects, processes, and initiatives
Coordinate with and manage external legal counsel on selected legal matters, such as litigation, complex transactions, disputes with third parties, and queries from applicable authorities
Embrace and implement opportunities to rethink how legal services are provided, focusing internal expertise on complex, high value matters, and automating, streamlining, or outsourcing high-volume, lower complexity matters, and using data to drive continuous improvement in services. Focus on the needs and pain points of our business partners and constantly challenge the status quo
Behind our innovation…There’s you
Qualified lawyer with over 15 years post qualification experience in either a multinational company or reputable law firm
Commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry is essential
Business development experience
Expertise in EU Pharmaceutical Legislation and other EU legislation relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, e.g. anti-bribery, parallel trade, competition etc.
Strong communication and analytical skills
Fluent in written and spoken English
