Your role and responsibilities
ABB a provides a comprehensive range of integrated automation, electrical and digital systems and services for customers in the process, hybrid and maritime industries. These offerings, coupled with deep domain knowledge in each end market, help to optimize productivity, energy efficiency, sustainability and safety of industrial processes and operations. We are currently looking for a new Channel Specialist that can support opportunities within the growing the land-based Energy Industries (Water and Wastewater etc. and Process Industries like Food & Beverage, Data Centers etc.) through their sales experience and industry knowledge. In this position you will be responsible for building the sales organization in Norway, with an increasing number of sales specialists as the volume grows. Main responsibilities: • Implements the agreed channel sales strategy within the approved budget • Contributes to the identification of appropriate channels and targets • Contributes to achieving key targets (e.g. volume, prices, product mix) for the channel in the specified market • Contributes to sales negotiations and negotiates frame agreements • Identifies and evaluates channel partners (per agreed ABB policies and standards including cyber security), together with the Channel or Sales Manager • Collaborates with Marketing and Sales and executes those activities that require channel/segment partner participation • Supports in driving strategic partnerships, developing personal relationships with partners, customers and other decision makers
Qualifications for the role
- 5+ years of sales experience in Industrial Automation
- Experience with water and waste-water infrastructure will be considered as positive
- Relevant BSc in Engineering
- Fluid language skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
- Experience working with all levels of customers, including executives, management and engineers
- Traveling will be required for this position in connection with customer visits, domestic and international sales meetings as well as conferences and workshops. Valid driver’s license is mandatory
