The position
We are looking for a Mechanical Simulation Engineer to develop and maintain production models/twins. The models will be used to simulate capacity utilization, product flows, anomalies and more.
The main tasks will be to:
- Support our factories and laboratories with establishing insights for better decisions and planning being responsible for every step until we can create value from our data, i.e., scoping the problems/opportunities.
- Stakeholder management.
- Setting up the data pipeline.
- Designing the twins and together with the business evaluate the output.
- Illustrate various data in a simple way so that the organization can understand the data and possibilities.
The position will enable you to put your theoretical knowledge into practice while at the same time gain industry experience and build a network with talented professionals in the organization.
Our team, AME Data & Twin Tech is composed of project managers, software developers, and simulation engineers. You will be primarily in the Twin Tech part of the team working directly with a Project Manager, a CFD engineer with a BioChem engineering background, and a Capacity simulation engineer with a Chemical engineering background. We are therefore looking primarily for a Mechanical Engineering background to complement the current competences in the team and bring an equipment perspective to our process optimizations.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
- An academic degree within Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Experience with CAD modelling.
- Some experience with process and equipment optimization and simulation, bottleneck analysis, process design, etc.
- Experience with PLM systems
- Knowledge and/or experience with detailed manufacturing processes.
- Experience with discrete event simulations, is a plus (preferably in the following tools: Inosim, AutoMod, or Siemens Tecnomatix).
- Experience within pharma process, is a plus.
- Experience with Agile teams, is a plus.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
As a person, you are proactive in defining your own tasks, curious, and eager to provide value to the process owners and other stakeholders. We look for someone who is a team player, patient with the team and has empathetic communication, especially when explaining technical requirements to less technical people, and someone who can cater their communication to different levels in the organization.
Furthermore, you are professional, self-engaged and show a high degree of attention to detail. You must have a mindset of an entrepreneur, a keen eye for details, and be able to see potential flaws, while keeping deadlines.
About the department
We focus specifically on Aseptic manufacturing (AM), which is the formulation, filling, freeze drying where applicable, and cleaning and sterilization processes of our products. Aseptic Manufacturing Engineering (AME) has its base in Denmark. We are over 200 employees serving the needs of Aseptic Manufacturing lines globally. AME focuses on performance, ramp-up, fleet management, and standardization across Aseptic manufacturing. Furthermore, our Data & Twin Tech team resides in a department called Digital & Standards – New Tech Projects, located in Gentofte, where we have bright colleagues working on digitalization initiatives and end to end adoption of digital tools to improve processes in the manufacturing facilities.
