We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer, to join our vibrant Copenhagen Headquarters, to help build and improve our AWS based infrastructure and help our developers delivering with grace and ease, all in the service of innovating solutions for our e-commerce and community platforms, impacting millions of users worldwide 🌍
The Quest
You will be joining a new team and trusted to help build and establish the heart of Hobbii's DevOps craft. Over the next few years, we have plans to stitch together a world-class, scalable infrastructure and migrate from our current mixture to a standardized solution. For this journey, we need your help!
The Road Ahead
- Get cozy with our current infrastructure, tech stack and teams.
- Help us design & build our new containerized hosting platform
- Improve our monitoring and alerting.
- Stitch together efficiency and security in our cloud usage and beyond.
- Improve our Github Actions based CI/CD.
- Architecting new infrastructure features in collaboration with our Lead Engineers and Product teams.
Your Mastery (in order of importance)
- Skilled DevOps and Platform Engineer with 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with Cloud Computing (preferably AWS).
- Understanding of Linux operating systems and networking.
- Understanding of Containers and their orchestration.
- Working knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation and preferably a scripting language like Bash or Python.
Our infrastructure is mainly on AWS, leveraging S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, ECS, CloudFormation, Elastic Beanstalk and other tools. We also have a few systems running on our own hardware in our warehouse.

The DevOps team is in its infancy and as such your immediate colleague will be the Lead DevOps Engineer, whom you will also report to. Hobbii has a growing Tech team of 30, comprising developers and testers of many kinds, and we aim to build a strong DevOps team. You’ll play an integral role in the team with vast opportunities to influence the future infrastructure at Hobbii.

- Move on to a delightful meet-the-tech-team interview (≈60min).
- Finally, a more intricate technical and complex pattern focused interview with our DevOps Lead (≈60min).
