Lead Visual Designer Experience Design · Aarhus, Denmark
Lunar ApS
At Lunar we are democratizing the power of money and changing the way we all bank, pay, and invest. Since starting in Aarhus in 2015, we've grown rapidly and are now a major player in the Nordics, with offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Stockholm 🚀
So who are we? Are we a tech company or a bank? Well, we're both, breaking free from the usual categories. At Lunar, tech isn't just a cool add-on; it's the core of how we do things. With our own banking license, we go head-to-head with traditional banks. What sets us apart is the mix of tech and financial services, giving us the power to shake up a dusty industry that's ready for a change.
The opportunity
As Lead Visual Designer at Lunar, you will drive the evolution of the visual identity across Lunar’s Products. You will lead the newly created visual design team, nurturing a collaborative and forward-thinking environment that upholds high standards of design while pushing the boundaries of what banking can look and feel like. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our product’s visual language aligns seamlessly with Lunar’s brand strategy, all while being user-centred and adaptable across different digital platforms.
If you’re passionate about creating inspiring, user-centred designs and want to shape the future of digital banking, we’d love for you to join our expanding design team in Aarhus.
What will you do?
- Design Leadership: Lead the development and ongoing refinement of Lunar’s visual identity via our design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and delight across Lunar’s products.
- Visual Strategy and Execution: Lead the creation and evolution of guidelines and systems that align with our brand identity and enhance the user experience.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with teams in marketing, product management, and engineering to ensure that visual designs not only support brand objectives but are also technically feasible and aligned with product goals.
- Brand Alignment and Innovation: Serve as a bridge between Brand, Marketing, and Product Design teams, driving initiatives to evolve the product brand identity, creating a unified and recognisable presence that enhances both product interfaces and marketing campaigns.
- Advocacy for Visual Standards: Act as an advocate for visual design excellence across the organisation, setting and maintaining standards that elevate the quality and consistency of design outputs.
- Mentorship and Development: Mentor and guide other designers, helping to cultivate a high-performing design team by fostering creativity, providing feedback, and sharing best practices through critique sessions and workshops.
- Future Leadership Potential: This role is ideal for a hands-on designer who is also interested in evolving into a people-management role, helping to shape team growth and direction in the future.
