Legal Student Assistant
Grundfos
Did you know that water and climate change are closely linked together? Access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene is the most basic human need for health and well-being, and that is why UN’s sustainable development goal (SDG) no 6 is to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
Grundfos is one of the largest Danish companies with around 20,000 employees, and we are worldwide famous for our market leader water technologies and solutions. We contribute to global sustainability by pioneering water technologies that improve quality of life for people and care for the planet, and we support SDG no. 6 and 13.
Grundfos Legal
We are 33 employees in Grundfos Legal (mostly lawyers and a few with non-legal backgrounds). Around half of us are in Bjerringbro, Denmark, and the rest are in various places around the world, including China, Hungary, Italy, and the US. We work with a variety of legal topics, including commercial contracts, competition law, corporate, data privacy, IP law, M&A, marketing law, and trade secrets law. As a student assistant with Grundfos, you will have every chance to use and develop your legal skills in various areas of the law. As part of a legal team working for one “client” only, you will get an in depth understanding of this business.
What is the job about?
We are currently looking for two new student assistants. As our student assistant, you will primarily assist the lawyers working in the Grundfos headquarters in Bjerringbro, but you will also support the global legal community in Grundfos within all legal areas.
Some of the following tasks will be part of your work:
- Intellectual property law tasks (e.g., drafting warning letters, online monitoring of trademarks and domains)
- In-dept legal analyses for internal use
- Review of various commercial contracts and non-disclosure agreements
- Sundry tasks. There will be many ad hoc legal tasks supporting the entire organization in various legal matters, and some administrative tasks will occur.
Your job will be around 15 paid hours per week in Bjerringbro. We hope that you can work two days per week, but we may agree on different schedules in some weeks.
“As a student assistant at Grundfos, you get firsthand experience with in-dept legal analyses, a strong understanding of how a large corporation works and you get entrusted with a lot of responsibility when dealing with large-scale contracts and many other matters.“ Says Oliver Wind Rasmussen, student assistant in Grundfos Legal.
What we expect from you
We expect you to be in the last year of your university bachelor’s degree in law or business law as a minimum, or preferably already hold such bachelor’s degree. Since many of your tasks will be in English, you must have a good command of written and oral English, and we consider it a plus if you have studied abroad or had courses in English. Further, we expect that you are hard-working and service-minded, solution-oriented, working independently, and curious to learn about Grundfos.
How to apply
If this job sounds appealing to you, please send us a cover letter, your CV, and your grades. Sending your cover letter and CV in English will be a plus, but it is not a requirement. We will hold interviews on an ongoing basis, and we will hire once we find the right candidate.
If you have questions or want to know more about the position, please contact Rasmus Dalgaard Laustsen (Head of Legal Data, IP & Marketing) at +45 51949363.
