Your future team:
You will become part of a knowledgeable and dedicated Patent Team which supports innovation, balance risk and explore existing technology for the ROCKWOOL Group. The Patent Team consists of four patent attorneys covering our core technologies, three patent managers covering our products, an administrator, a patent data specialist (you), and a Section Manager. The function is global meaning besides supporting 100 + colleagues in Group R&D, we are supporting business units and decision makers in our international subsidiaries.

What you will be doing:
You will mainly be responsible for providing business intelligence from patent information to:

• Inspire projects with available technologies to make them succeed faster
• Predict product launches to business development to enable them to be pro-active
• Map current trends to support patent strategy for individual business segments
• Establish and maintain our relationship with our service providers

You will be responsible for ensuring the Patent Team has access to state-of-the-art AI based search- and mapping tools. You will utilizes such tools yourself to provide technology mapping within our business areas.

You'll receive comprehensive support from experienced internal and external patent attorneys regarding both technical and legal queries, allowing you to concentrate on the business value.

A significant aspect of the role involves engaging with marketing and business executives, as well as inventors and technology project managers, to navigate us through the jungle of various technologies.

What you bring:
To thrive and succeed in this role, you must be curious and enjoy asking questions to dig down into a specific technical- or business area.

You like to engage with people without prejudice to understand their needs and how the business works.

Moreover, you bring:

• A technical background with a good business understanding,
• Proficiency in written and spoken English,
• Experience in patent is an advantage, but otherwise we will teach you what you need to know,
• Knowledge of patent databases and AI on user level is an advantage.
