The Role:
We are seeking an experienced C# Developer to join our software engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain applications using modern .NET technologies. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our growing technology platform, with your code utilized in software systems that provide critical decision support within the marine industry. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in C# development, a track record of delivering high-quality solutions, and excellent collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain C# applications and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in C# development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Proven experience with C# .NET 6.0+ and Entity Framework.
- Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL with PostGIS.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with API development and integration, including ASP.NET Core API and GraphQL.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure as well as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies and frameworks (React, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Familiarity with design patterns (e.g., MVC, Dependency Injection, Factory).
- Knowledge of microservices principles, including domain-driven design (DDD), bounded contexts, and service decomposition.
- Experience in the water industry or domain knowledge in water engineering.
- Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems and geospatial libraries. E.g. GDAL
- Familiarity with common geospatial data formats such as Shapefiles, GeoJSON.

Office Location
The position can be based in one of our location in either Australia, Malaysia or Indonesia.
