Step into a senior leadership role at Novonesis, where you will drive the strategy, innovation, and portfolio growth for Human Health Biosolutions, setting the direction for an exceptional team and portfolio that already delivers outstanding results and growth.
Welcome to Human Health Biosolutions (HHB)
As Director and Head of Global Portfolio & Innovation, you will join the HHB leadership team, reporting directly to Jakob Dalmose Rasmussen, VP of Strategy, Portfolio & Marketing. You’ll manage a team of seven (four team managers and three global leads) within Global Portfolio, overseeing a total of 24 high-caliber professionals, all bringing extensive industry expertise and dedication to our mission.
This pivotal role within the Human Health Biosolutions division involves managing major growth initiatives to ensure we continue advancing as a leading industry player. You will set the direction for the Global Portfolio team, empowering your managers to achieve ambitious goals within their areas while fostering collaboration with numerous stakeholders. This aligns with Novonesis's cultural values: Care, Explore, Impact, and Ownership.
In this role, you’ll make an impact…
…by ensuring strategic focus and vision in developing an industry-leading portfolio that supports sustainable growth and profitability. HHB is experiencing substantial double-digit growth projections, and you will help capitalize on this solid foundation by steering the business through extensive post-merger integration to shape our long-term strategy. This requires balancing high-level strategic planning with operational decision-making while empowering your managers to execute plans with clarity and ownership, working closely with our commercial teams and other key stakeholders.
A core part of your responsibility will be defining and directing category strategies and the new product development pipeline, prioritizing high-impact opportunities aligned with Human Health Biosolutions’ growth objectives. You will rigorously assess product positioning, value propositions, and market strategies for both existing and new products, ensuring alignment with our commercial teams and setting price guardrails across the portfolio. Additionally, you will actively participate in the HHB portfolio governance board, collaborating with R&D to optimize product time-to-market and launch processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading long-term portfolio health by securing business cases for future launches and aligning them with the commercial strategy.
- Shaping and directing category strategies to ensure our product propositions meet industry demands and set a competitive benchmark.
- Strengthening the existing portfolio and evaluating emerging science to integrate new solutions across Human Health categories.
- Driving the innovation pipeline with a focus on sustainable, profitable growth, ensuring each project aligns with our strategic milestones.
- Facilitating portfolio integration by working closely with teams across HHB to capitalize on synergies and maintain an optimized pipeline for accelerated impact.
We expect you to bring…
- Significant business and organizational leadership experience within the dietary supplements and/or ingredients industry.
- A strong track record in strategic portfolio management and leadership, with experience empowering people managers to achieve individual, team, and organizational goals.
- Expertise in commercial and product lifecycle management, from market entry through long-term category optimization.
- Ability to drive high-impact stakeholder engagement, including close collaboration with senior and executive leadership teams.
- Proven success in managing complex change, leveraging strategic vision to drive transformation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Adaptability in a post-merger environment, with a readiness to navigate changing priorities and opportunities.
