About The Team
Our team, at the heart of the APIs and Integrations department, is revolutionizing integrations with next-gen Android payment terminals. We’re simplifying the landscape for Worldline terminals, enhancing payment capabilities, and enabling advanced customer journeys. By challenging our assumptions, we strive to create products that deliver exceptional value to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of senior engineers, focusing on performance management and talent recognition. Ensure alignment with company goals and establish a high-performing, cohesive and collaborative team
- Architect next-generation solutions for cloud based terminal APIs. Actively participate on high level design tasks
- Be a champion for best practices and industry standards on Android/Kotlin ecosystem
- Help the team on making appropriate tradeoffs between reliability, throughput, latency, resiliency, engineering velocity and cost
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance observability, security, and compliance across our infrastructure
- Thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree, in Computer Science, IT Engineering or Information Systems
- At least 6 years of working experience in complex environments in a similar position, with a consistent track record
- At least 3+ years of leadership experience, which includes mentoring- and developing team members, drive the team’s performance and provide feedback and support as needed
- Foster a culture of intellectual curiosity and laser focus for delivering measurable impact
- Solid interpersonal skills to communicate and interact with both internal and external stakeholders from varying disciplines and cultures
Preferred Qualifications
- Fintech/payment domain experience
- Strong background in performance analysis, systems debugging, and API design
- Experience with JVM ecosystem and active knowledge on Android OS internals
- Experience in building RESTful web services using Swagger
- Experience in caching solutions and pub/sub systems such as Kafka
- Being a generalist working on whatever it takes to solve problems and deliver projects
- Can put yourself in the shoes of your users and be a steward of crafting great experiences
- Previous experience with Kotlin programming language and exposure to Android ecosystem
- Working knowledge on Jetpack & Compose libraries
- Previous experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
