Network Engineer
Norlys
Do you want to play a central role in building competencies in Network Operations, where our goal is to ensure the best customer experience in Denmark's largest integrated energy and telecommunications group? Do you have strong technical skills perhaps even in Core-Network, work systematically, and are passionate about what you do?
Then here is your next professional challenge…
A department in development
At Norlys Digital, Network Operations, you will have an exciting everyday life in a department with over 10 dedicated colleagues who are responsible for the operation and maintenance of both the Service Provider and coax infrastructure.
The Service Provider infrastructure is under construction, and you will play a crucial role in building and subsequently operating a "best in class" Service Provider network to serve both private and business customers. We take pride in our task execution while maintaining an informal and fun tone in everyday life, characterized by freedom with responsibility. You will join an exciting journey where, in the coming years, we will focus even more on improving the customer experience.
A team characterized by a high degree of openness, trust, and curiosity
You will experience a high degree of openness, trust, and curiosity in the team, which together has full responsibility for the implementation and operation of all private and business customers in Norlys Digital. You will participate in interdisciplinary groups across the organization and various forms of collaboration with our suppliers as well as private and business operations.
Your Primary Tasks Will Be:
- Perform troubleshooting in the various networks, followed by reporting of errors and remedial initiatives
- Participate in ongoing network optimization, capacity upgrades, and network expansion, including the rollout of new software
- Ensure that documentation and processes regarding the network are updated and meet our standards
- Handle network operations through proactive maintenance
- Implementation, operation, and monitoring of business solutions
High professional level and collaboration
As a person, you are curious and development-oriented, thriving on delivering good service and motivated by solving challenges. You can work independently while also being part of a team where everyone's contributions matter and the best solutions are often found together. We prefer that you have at least 3 years of practical experience in operating larger networks with a background in ISP, consulting, or the enterprise world. Additionally, we prefer that you have good experience with Cisco and Juniper. Key terms here will include SP-Backbone, SP-BNG, MX-platform, routing & Out-of-Band management. Since automation is key, it would be an advantage if you have experience with Python, Ansible, Cisco NSO, Netbox, and similar frameworks.
You will be part of a remote on-call rotation, on an equal footing with your colleagues, where you may be called outside normal working hours. It is required that you are fluent in English, both in writing and speaking, and that you can maintain a security clearance from FE, at level HEM.
We offer flexible working conditions, with good opportunities for working from home. However, your primary base will be our office in Aarhus. At Norlys, we highly value the development of our employees and offer development through participation in various projects, courses, and further education.
Shall we fight together?
Does the above sound like something for you? Then hurry up and send an application! We hold interviews continuously and close the recruitment when we have found the right candidate.
