We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Operational Resilience to lead our recently established Operational Resilience function. This senior management role involves directing a team of 7 colleagues committed to enhancing the bank’s ability to deliver critical services across all types of disruptions and having an important role in crisis management and recovery efforts. Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Operational Resilience (OpRes) team, serving as the primary point of contact for escalations and a subject matter expert.
- Update and implement the Operational Resilience strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and ensure compliance with the EU Banks Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD) in matters related to continuation of operations.
- Foster collaboration across functions to identify critical operations, define recovery objectives, and map dependencies.
- Develop contingency plans with defined Impact Tolerance Levels for critical functions.
- Establish robust reporting systems and KPIs to monitor threats to operational resilience.
- Coordinate responses to major disruptions at local, regional, and global levels.
- Maintain collaboration with Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, and IT Resilience.
- Represent Danske Bank in external Operational Resilience forums and communicate with stakeholders and authorities.
A great match
- Master’s degree in a related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree with extensive relevant experience also considered.
- Proven experience in operational resilience or related fields within the financial sector.
- Deep understanding of relevant EU directives and regulations.
- Great organizational and analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex issues.
- Experienced in change management and implementing new operational procedures.
- Great leadership skills with experience managing efficient teams.
- Advanced communication, stakeholder management, and networking skills.
- Adaptable to a multinational, fast-paced and changing environment.
