Manager Strategy Development
Base in Bad Hersfeld / Kassel, Germany (Hybrid, 2-3 days/week in office)
This is what your responsibilities are:
- Working directly with Managing Director International on key strategic activities and communications documents
- Support cross-functional strategic international projects, develop cross-functional market strategies and innovation roadmaps to drive ambitious growth ambitions
- Act as the right hand of Managing Director International, draft key communications on behalf. Behave as a bridge between the MD and other leaders, ensuring alignment on goals and objectives
- Plan and organize leadership and cross-departmental meetings, and oversee the preparation of reports, presentations, and updates for the leadership team and executive meetings. Take meeting minutes, track action items, and follow up to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Support strategic evaluation of (new) markets, positioning, revenue models, and value propositions to identify new growth opportunities
- Identify partnerships that support the development of the GLS international portfolio and develop business cases for make/buy/partner decisions
- Build internal relationships to drive growth activities, optimize collaboration, and enable knowledge sharing
- Collecting and consolidating key highlights related to market updates, competition analysis, and strategic initiatives
What are you bringing?
- At least Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- At least 6 years of proven experience in strategic planning, project management, or management consulting roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into strategic initiatives
- Move quickly and feel comfortable having the autonomy to lead projects in a dynamic organization
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence at various levels of the organization
- Familiarity with the logistics industry and market trends will be a bonus
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English
