Senior React Developer - IMPACT

ABOUT THE JOB
As a front-end engineer, you play a central role in the development of large e-commerce projects for some of Scandinavia's largest brands and retailers. From day one, you will experience a high degree of influence and involvement of professional competencies across the entire organization.

Our stack today is based on React/Next, Emotion/styled tool, and Git, and our solutions are single-page applications. We usually use Umbraco or EPIServer as a headless CMS but are also moving into SaaS-based systems. We communicate through cloud-based microservices based on best-of-breed composable architecture, and our frontend is usually hosted in Azure with CloudFlare in front. We are moving into Commerce Tools, Relewise, and Algolia as well, so clearly, we have enough buzzwords to go around, and we’re hoping you can teach us some more.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Ensure professional guidance with a focus on the quality of the solution, both when it comes to architecture, performance, safety, and robustness.
• Develop PWAs with features like offline support, fast loading times, and mobile-friendly designs to deliver native app-like experiences.
• Integrate APIs efficiently and handle data parsing, ensuring the frontend seamlessly communicates with backend services.
• Inherently curious about technology and can advocate for change when needed
• Break down, estimate and refine the tasks.
• Integrate with multiple third-party tools for ads, analytics, and authorization. Integrate with backend APIs for data fetch, parse, and displaying page content.
• Work closely with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with project goals.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the frontend ecosystem, applying them to improve the development workflow.

YOUR PROFILE
A seasoned professional with 5-7 years of industry experience with an emphasis on e-commerce platform implementations.

• Proven experience building dynamic and robust web applications using React
• Experience working with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) in Next.js is an advantage.
• Deep understanding of ES6+ features and advanced TypeScript capabilities, including generics and type inference.
• Demonstrated expertise with modern styling solutions (e.g., Emotion, styled-components) and pre-processors like SCSS.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs or GraphQL, handling data transformations, and ensuring efficient data flows in applications.
• Knowledge of best practices for building highly performant and scalable SPA
• Hands-on knowledge of the core principles of Progressive Web Applications, including caching strategies, service workers, and web manifest files.
• Strong proficiency in Git and familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or React Testing Library
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques, such as lazy loading, code splitting, and image optimization.
• Experience with frontend build tools like Webpack, Vite, or Parcel.
