Project Manager - Data Strategy

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the overall planning, scope, and creation of business cases for the implementation of our data strategy. Your closest colleagues will be the Head of Data department, the Data Mangers from each data team and one of our Student Assistants. We are in the early stages of implementation and need to enhance our focus and capabilities to deliver on our prioritized initiatives as outlined in the Data Strategy. Our ambition is to become a data-driven organization and empower our employees to work more effectively with data.

About the job

This role is based in the Data department within Digital Technology, and you will collaborate with various stakeholders from IT and Business.
The Data Strategy is orchestrated as a program, with multiple data initiatives. Currently, we have outlined the focus for 2025, although the Data Strategy runs until 2027.

In your new position as a project manager, you will work with the following topics:

• Continuous development of the Data Strategy: Create new content when needed. Ensure collaboration and coordination amongst Data Managers.
• Continuous development of our governance model: Implement, manage and refine our governance- and steering model.
• Business case creation: Create and update business case. Identify cost and benefits together with other Data Managers and stakeholders.
• Benefit realization: Ensure measurable benefits and tracking thereof.
• Monitoring and reporting: Closely monitor and report status and progress in the various initiatives in the Data Strategy
• Project Management: General project management and coordination, including aligning with the Change Management function, risk assessment, dependency coordination and similar tasks.

The role of project manager is a new position placed in Copenhagen, Sydhavnen.

About you Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on data strategy and governance.
• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
• Technical skills: Familiarity with project management tools. We use Azure DevOps to manage our projects.
• Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing data transformations, data projects and implementing data strategies.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives for data quality and data governance.
• Strong understanding of data-related domains, such as Master Data Governance, BI and analytics, data platforms, or other data solutions.
• Excellent organizational skills with a structured approach to planning and documentation.
• Fluency in written and verbal English. Danish speaking is an advantage.
• Professional attitude with strong stakeholder management skills at various levels
