The position
As Senior Corporate Counsel working on Supply and Demand matters, you will take the lead in managing key legal matters related to the supply and allocation of our products. This will involve working closely with a cross-functional team of stakeholders across Product Supply, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, Public Affairs and Communications. Additionally, you will also work closely with legal colleagues both in our Headquarters function and across the world, as well as engaging with external counsels and third parties.
You will:
- Be the key business partner and legal contact on all matters relating to supply and demand imbalances and drug shortages globally, focused on enabling business outcomes and mitigating legal risks
- Participate in cross-functional global task force on medicines supply and availability (together with Product Supply, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, Communications and Public Affairs) and support our engagement with key regulatory authorities (e.g. EMA)
- Be involved in the development of commercial strategies around the supply and allocation of our products to fulfil our commitment to deliver medicines that will serve the greatest number of patients globally
- Support regions and global affiliates in local risk management via tools, resources and trainings, as well as provide direct counselling on local critical risks and relevant topics in close collaboration with our International Operations and US colleagues
- Collaborate across legal teams in Global Legal, Intellectual Property and Security on relevant projects and topics (e.g. Competition Law, Litigation, Product Security, Pharma Law Commercial, etc.)
- Gain visibility to senior stakeholders via interactions with and updates to senior management on key topics and critical risks, as this is a high priority area for the company and our function
Qualifications
You hold a Law degree and have at least 5 years of relevant post-graduation experience from a law firm or an internationally oriented company, with a strong track record.

- Strong legal acumen, ideally incl. experience working as in-house counsel advising on commercial, regulatory, and/or supply-related matters
- Well-developed business partnering skills, including a proactive and innovative approach to understanding our customers’ needs and enabling business results through best-in-class legal advice
- Project management skills, including the ability to drive multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a structured manner, and to take a strategic approach to risk management and prioritisation
- The ability to work independently, as well as in cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal English communication and stakeholder management skills, which enable you to clearly convey complex issues and navigate among stakeholders from different cultures and business functions

About the department
You will be a key part of the high-performing, dynamic, and fun Pharma Law team (consisting of +30 employees) in Global Legal, Intellectual Property, and Security (GLIPS) located in Novo Nordisk’s headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark. Novo Nordisk’s GLIPS organisation consists of more than 450 legal colleagues situated in over 40 locations around the world.
