Area Sales Manager
Health management and robotic solutions for the agricultural dairy industry
Are you experienced in sales within the agricultural dairy industry and eager to join an innovative company? Afimilk is offering an exciting opportunity to lead sales in Denmark.

Drive sales of a unique product portfolio

You will take on an independent and interesting role at an innovative company that, in addition to its unique health management system for dairy farms, is now introducing a new robotic milking solution to the Danish market.

With an informal culture and a high degree of collaboration and will to win, you will become part of the Afimilk Europe organisation, reporting to the Sales Director North & Eastern Europe. You will collaborate internally with the European sales team and the headquarter, and you will be supported by Technicians located across Europe.

Strong salesperson capable of selling a unique robotic milking and health management system

Your main task is to market Afimilk’s portfolio of health management system and robotic milking solution to the dairy farmers. You will identify business opportunities for both existing and new products and applications. In doing so, you will spend most of your time establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with Afimilk's existing customers, as well as bringing new clients into the portfolio. To succeed in this role, it helps to be proactive and highly disciplined in sales planning to achieve targets and keep accurate sales records.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze the market, build strong sales presence, and identify new business.
  • Contact and visit the customers/farmers and build long-term relationships with customers.
  • Manage customer accounts in close collaboration with the Danish dealer, who provides support on ongoing projects and technical installations.

Outgoing and focused commercial profile with technical insight

Ideally, you have a relevant educational background in agriculture, such as agronomy, biology, farming, or agricultural technology. However, your education is less important than your experience in B2B sales to key customers in the agricultural industry. You speak the industry’s language and understand the challenges it faces and are curious about the customer’s needs.

Proficiency in English is required, and the role involves travel throughout Denmark, with occasional cross-border trips for exhibitions and seminars.

You are highly driven, proactive, and outgoing, while also thriving in exploring opportunities in depth. Managing both short and long-term sales projects demands persistence and the ability to prioritize and stay focused on the goal. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and take on tasks in a more hands-on manner, and it is crucial that you possess strong communication and negotiation skills.
