The Position
As a Data & Insights Specialist, you will ensure a data foundation that measures and manages the most important KPIs for our business while providing insights into the future to fulfil our strategic aspirations. You will use your interpersonal skills, curiosity, and solid toolbox within data analysis to provide best-in-class performance management overviews and build sustainable solutions that cover the needs of both current and future operations.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Utilizing best practices and deep internal or external business knowledge to enhance products and services through data-driven insights
- Working with minimal guidance, showcasing the ability to handle specialist tasks of high complexity
- Offering support and guidance for colleagues with less experience, potentially directing the work of other staff members
- Demonstrating expertise in one or several key processes across the area, providing valuable insights and strategic direction
- Driving the development and implementation of advanced data analysis frameworks, playing a pivotal role in shaping the team's approach to data-driven decision-making
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe you:
- Hold a master’s degree in data, mathematics, statistics, engineering, business, manufacturing, economics, or any other relevant field
- Bring at least 7 years of experience with data analysis within a manufacturing environment
- Possess experience with ETL and visualization tools, preferably Alteryx, Tableau, and/or PowerBI
- Demonstrate knowledge of SQL with hands-on data management experience with relational databases such as SQL Server
- Showcase fluency in both spoken and written English
Supply chain experience and strategy activities within pharma or a similar regulated environment would be a plus.
As a person, you are highly organised and methodical, bringing a thoughtful approach to problem-solving. You possess a natural ability to translate complex concepts into actionable data solutions that empower decision-makers. You have strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to communicate with empathy and clarity, fostering collaboration across the business. You pay high attention to detail and take pride in ensuring your work is executed accurately and thoroughly. Lastly, you know how to prioritize, manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment, and make thoughtful decisions in real time.
About the Department
You will be part of the IT, Data & Digital department, which is responsible for building and managing data insights and driving digitalization and innovation in processes within SoOp. SoOp has overall responsibility for the incoming supply chain at Novo Nordisk and consists of 600 dedicated employees.
You will join a diverse and high-performing team with a variety of backgrounds in data analysis, innovation, digitalization, IT, and project management. We use our differences to create novel ideas and high-quality solutions to ensure continuous improvement of the Sourcing Operations function globally. You will work in the headquarters, characterized by innovation, openness, and highly engaged and supportive colleagues who are dedicated to changing lives for the better for patients around the world.
Please be aware that this position is currently located in Bagsværd, Denmark, but as of Jan 1st, 2026, we will relocate to new office facilities in Taastrup, Denmark.
