Senior Legal Counsel

What you will do
As our new Senior Legal Counsel, you will take on an important role in Cadeler’s Legal team - reporting directly to the Head of Legal - providing strategic legal support and advice across the organization. You will be drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements within all business areas, including supply time contracts, installation and construction contracts, procurement and supply chain agreements, repair agreements, license agreements and other business-related agreements and supporting documents, and providing guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risks and opportunities.

Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Driving standardization and process improvements in collaboration with other internal teams, including Contract Management and Procurement.
• Liaising with and managing external counsel.
• Supporting the business in identifying legal liabilities and risks and proposing appropriate solutions.
• Supporting the business in disputes and litigation.
• Maintaining corporate housekeeping and ensuring compliance with regulations and corporate governance, including advising on regulatory matters.
• Supporting new country entrance and presence, including leading legal due diligence.
• Overseeing and managing the approval process for Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).

You possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize issues.

Furthermore, integrity is part of your DNA, and you have a demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters.

We think you will be a good match if you:

• Hold a master’s degree in law.
• Have 5+ years of experience, ideally having spent a substantial period in private practice.
• Have experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, preferably within the offshore industry.
• Have experience structuring and executing special projects across multiple jurisdictions.
• Are fluent in English, oral as well as written.

Relocation will be needed for this position, if you are not currently based in either Copenhagen or Great Yarmouth (Norwich area).
