Join us as our new Automation Engineer…
Do you want to be part of a team that improves automation systems in a new production plant? Are you ready to contribute to the future of our operations and help us transition from commissioning to production? If this sounds exciting, we would love to hear from you!
Welcome to the Automation & Metrology group…
We are a part of the Technical Service department in Avedøre. Our team is expanding, and you will work alongside 7 other automation experts.
Our department, with over 30 employees, consists of technicians, engineers, and project managers who share a good sense of humour and mutual respect. As we continue to grow, your role will be vital in supporting the integration of our new plant, working in an environment where collaboration and teamwork are key.
In this role you’ll make an impact by:
Collaborating closely with production operators, chemists, engineers, and technicians, along with the global engineering team and the quality department. Working with diverse internal stakeholders, your input will ensure smooth operational transitions and continuous system improvements in our new Packing plant.
During the start-up and commissioning you will work closely with our Global engineering team to suggest, plan and execute the handover to Operations. Thereby you and colleagues will ensure a smooth transition into production of our freeze-drying packaging lines. Later you will implement improvement projects, contributing to the optimal running of the packing lines. Just as you will help identify and resolve issues, actively supporting the asset-care strategy for automation systems.
In addition, some of your key tasks will include:
- Contributing to the completion of the commissioning phase and takeover of the new facilities
- Proposing, planning, and implementing improvement projects for automation systems
- Developing operational knowledge of the packaging plant to help optimise processes through automation improvements
- Systematically following up on automation breakdowns
- Supporting the asset-care strategy for automation systems, including department procedures and tools
To succeed you must hold:
- An engineering degree or a technical education with additional training in automation
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Programming skills, ideally within Controllogix and AVEVA's Archestra/InTouch/MES environments, but experience with similar systems is equally welcome
- Proficiency in English, and preferably a Scandinavian language
Furthermore, you are adaptable, able to manage the dynamic conditions of a commissioning process, and comfortable listening to various stakeholders’ needs. Your team-working skills and problem-solving abilities will help you integrate well into our expanding team. You should be comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environment and be able to handle multiple tasks and contribute to achieving the shared goals of the team.
