Are you ready to be a pivotal part of Danske Bank's journey towards becoming a fully data-driven organization? We are seeking a proactive and passionate individual to support our business units in implementing robust data management practices across the Nordics.
The Business Data Office is established in 2023 as part of Business Controls & Product Management (BC&PM). The Business Data Office is instrumental in enabling Danske Bank to achieve its long-term ambition of becoming a fully data-driven bank. By focusing on robust data management implementation, this office ensures that high-quality data is utilized in every decision, customer interaction, and internal process. This dedicated focus on data management not only streamlines operations but also enhances data governance across our business units in the Nordics. Business Data Office is operating in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
Our main focus for 2025 and onwards is to support our business areas in setting up and monitor data quality controls as well as facilitate and support documentation of data lineage journeys and implementation process.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the implementation of data management across our three business units, providing support on data-related issues and opportunities.
- Act as a crucial link between Danske Bank’s Group Data Management Office and our business units.
- Educate and train colleagues in data management practices, with resources from the Group Data Management Office.
- Monitor, report, and escalate data quality issues to maintain and improve our standards.
- Collaborate daily with data entities to ensure effective progress in data management initiatives.
- Coordinate new projects and business changes to ensure compliance with the Data Risk Management Policy.
Competencies/Background:
- Academic background with strong performance.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in banking, focusing on processes, data management/governance, banking regulations, or risk management.
- Valuable experience might include:
- Data Management implementation
- Experience with 3rd party data and/or large data models
- Experience with Data Quality and /or Data Lineage
- Project management within data-centric projects.
- Data Steward role
- In-depth knowledge of banking processes/regulation with an interest in data management.
- Preference for candidates with a background in banking or insurance.
- Excellent team player, self-driven, with outstanding communication skills. Proficiency in English is required.
- Ability to bridge technology and business, with strong planning/organizing skills, attention to detail, and enjoyment of cross-functional work.
