We are seeking a passionate Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner to support our Commercial expansion in International and European markets. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Commercial global expansion by partnering with senior management in Commercial, engaging with our external partners on financial matters. Your financial insights, analytical skills and actionable reporting will support decision making towards shared goals.

You will be joining the Business Finance team consisting of colleagues in both Denmark and the US. You will be based in the headquarters in Hellerup, and report directly to Rikke Mørkeberg Poulsen, Senior Director in Business Finance, who is also based in Hellerup.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Provide financial business partnership and guidance on key planning assumptions, trade-offs, and scenarios to support strategic decisions across functions
- Develop, analyze, interpret, and present financial results with the ability to adapt messaging depending on the audience, from executive management to line manager level
- Proactively and creatively seek out opportunities to generate business cases to evaluate various options and assess their respective financial and business impact
- Support development of robust financial models and forecasting to support planning and strategy
- Prepare quarterly forecasts, revenue forecasts and long-term business plans
- Establish and define KPIs (business and financial metrics) and reports to effectively manage and measure business performance including recommendations for corrective actions
- Participate in all relevant working group meetings with partner
Qualifications and Skills:
You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a master’s degree in finance or economics with minimum +5 years hands-on experience in a Finance Business Partnering role in an international company supporting the business across geographies.
We believe that the ideal candidate is a finance professional, who has solid experience from with, reporting and/or financial analysis.
Furthermore, you have:
- High personal drive with a proactive and hands-on approach, being ready to take responsibility to successfully develop the business by taking initiatives in implementing new processes and solutions
- Excellent relationship-building skills and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Strong core business and communication/networking skills as well as ability to turn complex data into actionable insights
- You are adept at building management reports combining multiple data sources. An excellent team player, passionate and driven by an ambition to create value for the business
- Strong financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with POWER BI, planning/reporting tools and ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365)
