Based at Arla’s headquarters in Aarhus, you will be part of the central Group Tax team as well as Arla’s larger Global Tax team, which is comprised of 14 specialists across 5 countries. You will be responsible for contributing to progress and developing future capabilities of the tax department.
How you will make an impact
As our in-house Energy Tax Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring energy tax compliance in Denmark. You will serve as a business partner, providing energy tax advice and solutions to stakeholders within the Danish Arla Group companies.
As an in-house Energy Tax Manager at Arla, you will handle all aspects of energy tax, primarily focusing on these areas:
- Maintain contact with external stakeholders e.g. tax authorities and external advisors and oversee compliance with energy tax legislation.
- Contribute to developing, implementing and overseeing compliance of energy tax policies at Arla.
- Build relationships with Danish production sites and assist with the more technical and hands-on parts of the energy taxes , which may require on-site visits
- Prepare for upcoming country-specific and EU energy legislation while staying informed on regulatory developments.
- Manage projects within the energy tax area and support the global tax team using your expertise.

What will make you successful
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you:
- Hold a relevant master’s degree (e.g. Cand. Merc. or Cand. Merc. Jur).
- Have 3+ years of experience within Danish energy taxation. In addition, we expect that you wish to develop your energy tax skillset.
- Possess excellent communication skills in Danish and English (written and spoken).
- Have an interest in applying technology and are willing to invest in learning new skills and master such tools.
- Have great stakeholder management skills, as you will be working with a broad range of stakeholders.
