Software Engineer - Payment Engineering

Job Description
At Vipps MobilePay, we remove hassle, create dazzle and make it very easy to send and receive money.

As a Software Engineer in Payment Engineering, you will be part of the team responsible for Vipps MobilePay payments, refunds, payment proof, card passthrough, eMoney, and related processes. We handle around 4 million payments a day. Our team owns our code in production, monitors, measures performance, and addresses issues proactively. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions and actively contribute to improving our current tooling, standards, and processes.

What will you be doing?
As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining backend solutions mainly using C#, GoLang and SQL running on containers in Azure.
• Utilizing tools like Grafana and Splunk to support our DevOps practices.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and other teams in the Payment Area to ensure high-quality deliveries.
• Taking ownership of code in production, monitoring and improving performance.
• Having fun and develop as a Software Engineer in an informal team.

Skills & Requirements
This is you:

• You have an academic background in tech, engineering or a related field.
• Some years of experience with our tech stack or equivalent is a big positive
• You voice your thoughts, have a proactive approach, are curios and eager to learn.
• You are proficient in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Norwegian and/or Danish is a plus.
• You have a passion for building secure, high-quality software and thrive in a collaborative, data-driven environment.
• You can work on-site in our brand-new Aarhus office.
