System Architect for leading SaaS company
Lessor A/S
Are you ready to take architectural leadership of a large SaaS solution with growth ambitions and European expansion plans? Do you find it natural to be the technical link between the Danish business and multiple Nearshore Development teams?
Now is your chance to join a unique growth journey at Paychex Europe as a System Architect for our Emply product – a Human Capital Management platform.
About Paychex Europe
Attracting, retaining, and developing talent, and paying the correct salary on time are growing challenges for companies worldwide. To meet these challenges, Paychex Europe create market-leading innovative and intuitive HR, Payroll, and Workforce Management Solutions.
Market-Leading Company in growth
With one of the most popular HR IT solutions on the market and an expansive growth strategy, Paychex Europe is busy. We are continuously working to enter new markets and improve our solutions. With high growth, it is important to ensure good principles for the development of the SaaS solution. As our new System Architect, you will be crucial in leading the strategically important IT architecture decisions. Keld Hjortskov, Chief Technology Officer, elaborates:
“With your technical capacity and your responsibility as System Architect for the Emply HCM platform, you are good at keeping a cool head when making decisions about developing new features. You spot potential problems before we technically go too far down the wrong path. In other words, you steer the development organization in the direction that supports our strategy the best”.
Your role
As a System Architect you have the following key responsibilities:
- Create a technical vision that supports the business vision
- Identify key architectural elements in the product development process
- Participate in refining Epic's features and to some extent stories as well
- Align and collaborate with lead developers on the best solutions to support the technical vision
- Advise Product Management on roadmap decisions with technical dependencies
About you
You probably come from a background as a .NET developer, where you quickly became the go-to person for advice. It comes naturally to you to keep an overview and see the long-term consequences of a development task.
You build collaborative relationships easily and communicate effortlessly with both Developers and the business in Danish and English.
We believe your experience probably includes:
- 4+ years as a .NET developer, perhaps ending in a Lead Developer position
- A relevant theoretical background at bachelor level or higher
- Development of multi-user web applications, preferably with knowledge of Angular
- Knowledge of SQL databases and Entity Framework
- REST based API development
- Performance optimization of solutions in collaboration with Infrastructure Architects
Furthermore, you can recognize yourself in the following soft skills:
- Motivated by creating superior solutions in collaboration with others
- Happy to share your knowledge and insights, but are also a good listener
- Naturally create structure where it may be lacking, but can navigate missing processes without getting frustrated
- Great integrity in your professionalism and ensure quality through quiet insistence on doing things right
- Able to find compromises in situations with conflicting objectives
Why us?
You will join a growing software company with good values and a motivation culture. We encourage a social culture and believe that it makes taking on challenges together a lot more fun. To sum it up: Plenty of learning, and exciting challenges in a great work environment.
We have nice and open premises, and your primary place of work will be at our Østerbro office.
