Overview
Objective
As a Supply Chain Specialist (Freight Forwarder) at Nets, you can look forward to advancing your professional competencies and developing your career within supply chain management.
You will be part of the department Supply Chain Administration. We’re part of the value chain ensuring deliveries of payment terminals to our customers. Our contribution is ownership of processes and the daily operations such as forecasting, logistics, inventory optimization, material management, and supply chain reporting & analytics. All in line with our overall supply chain strategy.
Key Responsibilities
You will handle the administrative and logistical processes required to ensure smooth and efficient transportation of goods.
Some of the tasks include:
- Book shipments, and manage collective return shipments including ex-works collections from suppliers.
- Communicate with internal customers to provide shipment updates and handle any inquiries from the business (Sales, Customer Service, etc.). Track shipments and proactively address and communicate delays.
- Communicate with external suppliers (Logistic providers/Customs) for operational issues
- Handle invoicing, cost reporting, and reconciliation of shipping expenses.
- Ensure compliance with import/export laws and industry regulations (dangerous goods, incoterms, customs clearance/VAT, required documentation, etc.).
- Evaluate carrier performance and SLAs, and follow up on corrective action when issues occur.
- Negotiate rates and agreements with carriers.
- As part of Supply Chain Administration, you will also be taking care of backup tasks within the team.
Preferred background, qualifications, and experience
- Experience in logistics or transportation is a must.
- Excellent English communication and negotiation skills - experience with either of the Scandinavian languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and international trade processes.
