We are looking for an additional baking enthusiast to join our commercial team in Europe. In this job, you will be part of our highly skilled sales- and business development team in Europe. You will be responsible for generating insights that can be used for needs-dialogues with customers and for using the insights and customer inputs to create new concepts and solutions that create value for our customers.

In this role, you have the opportunity to apply your skills to create direct business growth. You will be in the exciting intersection of driving- and supporting new product/concept development combined with significant customer exposure and engagement. You will be a business developer that takes a very active role in driving sales via the insights- and concepts you produce.

You are very strong in market analysis, insights generation and customer engagement and have a nose for opportunities. You have technical flair (or educational background) and quickly build your understanding of highly technical products and categories. You prefer to work in teams and value constructive input from your stakeholders.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

  • Using your analytical skills to convert market/consumer data and news into meaningful insights that can be leveraged for customer engagement.
  • Assessing new opportunities in the market and collaborating closely with your Technical Service counterpart to identify and evaluate new, technically feasible, concepts or solutions.
  • Being able to drive a high quality needs dialogue with customers and establish solid relationships; both externally as well as internally.
  • Being able to methodically prioritize the most impactful opportunities for us to invest our time in.

Potentially relevant experience:

  • You have at least 5 years experience in a business development role (or similar) in a B2B environment; ideally within the bakery- or food ingredients industry.
  • You can demonstrate an ability to build insights, story-lines and value propositions from a complex set of information sources.
  • You are most likely a super-user in Excel or other data processing software.
  • You possess a sharp commercial toolbox related to; market analyses, customer engagement, pricing and product positioning.
  • You can demonstrate solid experience in driving meaningful conversations with customers, building solid relationships and identifying new opportunities from these conversations.
  • You can demonstrate experience in taking new products from idea/concept to launch.
  • You probably have a Masters Degree in business, science or engineering.
  • Travel will be required. On average, 2-4 days per month.
