Job description:
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the sales and business development efforts within defined areas of ProAudio, and within these segments an annual growth rate of 10-20% is expected. It is expected that you will proactively drive ongoing and new projects with existing and new clients. Furthermore, it is expected that you will be able to play an instrumental role in supporting the further development of the division and thereby actively bring input to the strategy development processes of the department. You will report to the Business Director placed in Nørresundby, Denmark.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day sales and business development, including:
  • Customer identification, prioritization, and dialogue.
  • Definition of customer strategies and, thereby, the establishment of avenues of access within the prioritized customers.
  • Participation in concrete customer dialogues supported by the project & engineering departments.
  • Dialogue with the RTX development department.
  • Establishment of business cases in close cooperation with the rest of the RTX teams.
  • Contract negotiations and follow-up.
  • Build a proper and structured pipeline of customer leads and secure proper CRM reporting of actions.
  • Participate in the commercial development of the division and secure that a customer-oriented way of thinking is implemented.
  • Bring forward new ideas and ways of thinking that will secure that RTX has a focused approach to product selling that is scalable and that makes both technical and commercial sense to bring to the marketplace.
  • Engage in and contribute to further team development in the department.
  • Meetings with external stakeholders, including representing the business to both local and international clients.
  • Participation in relevant customer events and exhibitions.

Qualifications:
You have a relevant commercial background from having created successful commercial results in a technical environment (IT – software). The educational background could come from both a commercial degree in combination with technical engineering education.

  • Min. 5 years of relevant experience in international selling technical IT products or communication products (technical BTB product/system sale) on an international basis.
  • The right candidate has a very strong commercial understanding.
  • Experience in building technical customer solutions from the conceptual phase to the implementation phase.
  • KAM experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong background within product/system sales - with deep technical insight - "each customer is unique - each product is unique - be able to discuss - add value".
  • Knowledge of sales excellence tools whereby the right candidate can work the sales discipline with a high degree of structure.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Autonomous.

Success criteria:
The BDM role is key to achieving RTX’s commercial targets within the ProAudio segment. Success in the position requires understanding the market and the opportunities. Success criteria:

  • Reach the budget goal and secure an annual growth rate of 10-20%.
  • Establish good profitable, and long-lasting customer relations.
