DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine and will continue significant scale-up in 2024 to implement emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.
Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Fleet Team Leader in Kharkiv.
About the job
Under the supervision of the Support Services Manager, you will be responsible for supervising fleet team members, providing technical support and management of area fleet in accordance with DRC Operational Handbook, SOPs and guidelines.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Oversee and coordinate day-to-day fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, fuel management, driver management, and fleet utilization.
- Ensure timely and efficient procurement of goods and services related to fleet management, lease and use of vehicles, adhering to organizational rules and budgetary constraints.
- Monitor compliance with safety standards, vehicle registration, insurance requirements, and other legal obligations.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate fleet performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
- Oversee the day-to-day fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, fuel management, driver management, and fleet utilization.
- Ensuring all DRC drivers are adhering to DRC driving and safety.
- Monitor Fuel usage; prepare all fuel tracking sheets, and relevant regular report with ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of fuel usage.
- Provide strong leadership to the fleet team, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Make sure that drivers are familiar with legal requirements and DRC safety policies in place related to road safety and accidents, and that all drivers and passengers are aware of what to do in case of an accident and how to report it.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have proven experience of Fleet management in humanitarian organizations, team management, good level of English and computer literacy.
Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of fleet management experiences (minimum 1 year with humanitarian organizations)
- Good command of English Language both verbally and written.
- Proven management skills and competence in people management.
- Excellent skills of MS Tools especially Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint.
- Attention to details, strong planning and organization skills
- Driving license with at least 6 years of driving experience.
Desirable:
- Experience in managing ERP system
- Bachelors in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or relevant.
