Swap Language is looking for English teachers who love helping busy people learn Business English. The majority work in companies and need the language to upgrade their communication skills and boost their confidence for the professional setting.

About the position:
You will be teaching groups (1 - 5 learners) where speaking practice is the highest priority most of the time. The goal is to give the them as much speaking time as possible in a safe environment, where we celebrate mistakes and correct them so they feel confident in any situation.

With our live and on-demand Business English lessons, the internationals gain the grammar and vocabulary they can use in the follow-up speaking lessons with you.

Your tasks:

• You must hold and plan speaking lessons with of 1 - 5 people per group. These meetings are 99% of the time online, but in rare occasions it could also be at the workplace.
• You prepare for the lessons with lesson material that we have produced.

As a person, you are:

• Patient - You always have the student in focus and give space and time so that the international can practice English.
• Empathetic – you are understanding and good at putting yourself in other people's situations.
• Motivating - you are good at making people feel engaged and motivated to learn English.
• Well-articulated – you can explain complicated things in an easy-to-understand way.
• Creative - You make the teaching as personal as possible to suit each student.

You must have:

• A laptop and a webcam
• A good internet connection

Good skills to have for this position:

• You have an education that allows you to teach English. (CELTA or other certificates will be a bonus, and please state it in your application.)
• Learned other languages – You have learned a foreign language in addition to English as an adult, so you can more easily familiarize yourself with the student's situation. (Not a requirement, but a bonus).
• Lived abroad: You have lived abroad for more than four months. (Not a requirement, but a bonus).
• Taught in English – Previously taught in English, online or offline. (Please specify how many years you have been teaching).
