Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Contract to join our sales team. This strategic leadership role will be pivotal in defining, executing, and overseeing the organization’s global contract sales strategy. You will report directly to the Sales Director and serve as the go-to expert for contract-related matters, ensuring seamless collaboration between Sales, Procurement, and operations. You will be part of the Sales Management team.
The ideal candidate will combine strategic foresight with hands-on expertise to optimize processes, drive growth, and support global teams in achieving operational excellence in contract sales.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership in Contract Sales:
- Develop, lead, and implement a global contract sales strategy aligned with the organization’s objectives.
- Provide expertise and leadership on contract-related matters, ensuring all teams adhere to best practices.
- Represent contract sales priorities, contributing to high-level decision-making.
Operational Oversight:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the contract lifecycle, including negotiation, execution, compliance, and renewals.
- Create and maintain standardized templates and processes to drive consistency and efficiency.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations, balancing business goals with long-term client relationships.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as the primary link between Contract Sales, Procurement, and Support teams, fostering collaboration and alignment.
- Serve as the global go-to expert for contract sales inquiries, challenges, and opportunities.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing and consistency across regional and functional teams to strengthen contract sales operations.
Process Optimization and Risk Management:
- Evaluate and refine contract-related workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
- Implement tools and methodologies to enhance productivity and streamline contractmanagement processes.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with contract sales.
Performance Measurement and Reporting:
- Establish KPIs to monitor the success of contract sales strategies and operational performance.
- Deliver regular reports and insights to Sales Director and Management highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in a leadership role in contract sales, management, or a related function, preferably in a global context.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing global strategies in a cross-functional environment.
- Expertise in contract negotiation, sales management, and risk analysis.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- In-depth understanding of global compliance and regulatory considerations in contracts.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in contract management software, CRM tools, and data analytics platforms.
