About the Team
Bavarian Nordic is expanding its EHS organization to continue to support our business strategy and to make a difference locally at our Kvistgaard site and globally across our operations.

Our EHS agenda is central to our mission of protecting lives every day. As part of a newly established Global EHS team, we are dedicated to integrating EHS best practices and systems into our operational activities ensuring a strong EHS culture across our network.

As an EHS Specialist, you are located in Kvistgaard, working closely with our production organization and collaborating daily with the Biosafety team and global colleagues. You will refer to the Head of EHS Operations. Aligned with our business strategy our EHS ambitions are also growing, creating exciting opportunities to influence and contribute to global EHS strategies. Together, we are building a culture of safety, responsibility, and innovation.

Your Impact

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe working conditions at our Kvistgaard site while contributing to our global EHS programs. Your key tasks will include:

• Partnering with our operational colleagues to drive an open EHS culture, and collaborative and champions Human and Operation Performance (HOP) principles and continuous improvement
• Conduct safety walks, and proactive hazard identification and ensure learning opportunities are embedded into our processes and systems
• Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions ensuring the learning loop is completed
• Coach managers and employees alike on EHS topics and deliver training programs
• Serve as the point of contact for relevant regulatory bodies, external auditors, and inspectors, supporting the implementation of sustainability projects to reduce environmental impact

Are you our next pioneer?
To succeed in this role, you will need:

• An academic degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or a related engineering or scientific field
• Preferably 2–3 years of experience in an EHS role (experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or related industries is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of Danish EHS regulations
• Solid skills in risk analysis
• Proficient in English
