Agile Coach

We are looking for an Agile Coach ready to share and grow.
As an Agile Coach, you will be helping the organization on its agile journey. You will be a change agent, driving relentless improvement through an empirical and data-driven approach, pushing towards excellence in multiple areas. You will conduct workshops, training and seminars, coach agile teams, introduce agile frameworks and look for improvements in existing set-ups. You will also work on the company processes level to design new and/or find optimizations in existing, more traditional ways of working. You will often be exposed to the senior management to promote agile mindset and approach on the higher levels of the organization. You will be confronted with limitations of compliance in a regulated industry, will face challenges with various levels of agile adoption, mix of elements from traditional and agile approach to delivery.
This position is based in Warsaw (PL). It is part of „Agile Delivery and Customer Value” Area of BEC Financial Technologies which takes care of propagating and promoting agile Ways of Working, optimization of company processes and combining good practices from various approaches.
At BEC, we work in a hybrid remote model, coming into the office 3 days a week and working remotely for 2 days.
Primary task and responsibilities
As an Agile Coach, you will work closely with other coaches, Managers, Directors, Product Owners/Managers, Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Coaching and acting as a partner for Teams or whole areas in agile adoption
- Providing workshops about various agile and lean practices (originating from Scrum, Kanban, Scaled agile approaches, agile communities)
- Driving relentless improvements in the organization
- Causing removal of impediments towards optimizations on Company level
- Optimizing company processes towards better efficiency
- Proposing and introducing improvements and experiments based on empirical data
- Cooperating with Enterprise Portfolio management on portfolio management practices and standards
- Advising on higher levels of organization to promote agile ways of working
To succeed you will have:
- An educational background at master’s level within Finance or IT and at least 5 years of experience from a similar position working with agile in a regulated industry
- Experience in applying Agile and Lean principles, values, and related frameworks or methods, with expertise in Scrum and Kanban
- Experience with exposure to senior management, understand that an agile journey is long and full of obstacles, be patient and persistent
- Facilitation skills
- Training and teaching competencies, both in-room and online
- Product management knowledge and practices
- Leadership and stakeholder management skills, including good presentation skills
- Data analytical abilities and the capability to use data as improvement drivers
- Coaching and mentoring expertise
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable way
- Knowledge of scaled frameworks for Agile
- English at a high level both in writing and orally working in teams in Denmark and Poland
