Description
We are looking for a Project Manager for the Social and Humanitarian Area. The role will be specific dedicated to Global Health Programmes team.
With the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s 2030 Strategy, the Foundation is committed to fight global inequities in health. One of the major initiatives contributing to the strategy is The Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP) serving as a flagship programme in the health equity agenda by strengthening institutional capacity for improved education of health professionals, with a focus on strengthening the prevention of and care for cardiometabolic diseases (CMDs).
Through the Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP), the Novo Nordisk Foundation works with partners in India and East Africa to strengthen the capacity of educational institutions for health professionals with a focus on nurses and promote opportunities for women in the health workforce. The aim is to equip nurses and other health professionals, to provide quality prevention of and care for cardiometabolic diseases in response to the needs of people living in vulnerable positions in India and East Africa.
A granting frame of DKK 1 billion has been allocated to the PEP programme in India and East Africa for the period 2023-2030.
The job
As Project Manager your key tasks will be:
- Develop and manage global health projects and programmes to accelerate prevention and management of cardiometabolic diseases including the Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP)
- Facilitate and support develop and management of programme and project documents, project governance and execution, plans, timelines and budgets with members of Global Health Team at NNF HQ and NNF branch offices in India and Kenya as well as PEP partners in Denmark, India, Kenya and other East African Countries
- Prepare key documents for NNF senior management and board of directors related to PEP and other key lobal health projects and programmes
- Co-manage dialogue and interactions with Global Health key stakeholders and PEP partners
You will be part of a team of 25 colleagues working within the Social and Humanitarian Programme Area and report to the Director of Global Health Programmes. You will be based at the Novo Nordisk Foundation headquarters in Copenhagen; however, frequent travel will be required as part of the jobs including to the two NNF branch offices in India and Kenya
Professional and personal qualifications
We are looking for a programme manager highly motivated to contribute to global health challenges trough the PEP programme. You have minimum +5years of relevant experience with designing, driving, and implementing large-scale education programmes or global health programmes in LMICs for international organisations (UN, World Bank), philanthropic foundations, consultancy firms, research institutions or universities, or NGO’s. Furthermore, you have a master’s degree in public health, global health, education science, social sciences, development studies, nursing or medical science or another relevant field.
We imagine you have:
- Project management skills incl co-creative project design, monitoring and evaluation and ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously
- Experience from an international/development environment
- Relevant experience from public or private sector, foundations, academia, hospitals, NGO, political organizations
- High level of IT skills within Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English language oral and written
