About the Team and the Organization
The Network & Security Platform team is responsible for all core network services and all Network Architecture & Design globally.
Some focus areas include Data Center Network, Campus Network, Network Security, Network Interconnectivity and cross platform automation and development.
We are always striving to evolve our network using the latest technologies while maintaining stability and strong standardization.
About the Role
In this role you will collaborate with external business stakeholders within the Network area as well as with multiple internal IT Infrastructure teams from areas like Hosting, Service Operations, Global Supply Chain, and other external service vendors.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Architect with a focus on campus networking and wireless technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale campus networks and wireless infrastructures. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our network systems, be part of a cross-function team of architects and drive strategic decisions.
This position is hybrid and preferably based at our office in Mölndal, Sweden and reports to the IT Manager of the Network & Security Platform Team.
What You Will Do
- Planning and designing Campus networks, including wired and wireless networks.
- Be involved in strategic evaluations, decisions and designs regarding all campus related matters.
- Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain strong standardization to support external implementation teams.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support and enhance network services.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and trends.
- Presenting network plans/designs to management staff.
- Overseeing the network implementation process and managing lifecycle, including roadmaps and budgets.
- Implementing strategic network and security designs while following industry best practices including drawings, descriptions and configurations.
- Establishing performance management metrics for networks.
- Act as a SME to support operational teams with troubleshooting and resolving network bugs, performance issues and other problems
- Participating in meetings to gather information regarding data, business and user requirements.

- Communication: You will work with other IT professionals, and strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills can ensure they convey information effectively and accurately. You also may use these skills to present plans and provide networking guidance to management staff. Corporate language is US English.
- Leadership: You will be in the role of leading a team of IT specialists or computer engineers through the network implementation process or other necessary tasks. Leadership skills enable you to assign responsibilities and maintain the proper functioning of the network.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings on a high level
- You feel comfortable in an international and in a technical environment and enjoy the participation of administrative work. You like to work in a structured way
Technical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent education obtained through on the job training and vast experience.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on campus networking and wireless.
- Preferred certifications: CCNP, CCIE or equivalent Technical Skills
- Expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VXLAN-EVPN and Wi-Fi related radio technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing routers and switches from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, and Arista, including management umbrellas like Catalyst Center.
- Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access control.
- Experience with wireless technologies and standards (e.g., Wi-Fi 6, WPA3).
- Expertise in campus network design and implementation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash for network automation.
- Understanding of software defined networks (e.g., VMware NSX, Cisco ACI) as well as network virtualization technologies.
- Experience in designing and implementing redundant network solutions and disaster recovery plans.
Preferred Experience with Wireless Technologies and Vendors:
- Experience with Cisco Classic, Juniper Mist, Aruba and Meraki networks for wireless solutions.
- Familiarity with Ruckus Wireless for high-density environments.
- Understanding of OT environments and Purdue model.
- Knowledge of Ekahau or AirMagnet for wireless site surveys and planning.
- Proficiency in using tools like NetSpot for wireless network analysis.
