Eurofins Agri Genomics is looking for a versatile laboratory technician/bioanalyst for our NGS laboratory

At Eurofins Genomics Agrigenomics in Galten, we work closely with agricultural costumers, which is our primary customer segment. We follow the agricultural seasonal cycles and are committed to helping our customers solve challenges such as climate adaptation of crops, optimizing yield in livestock and crop production, CO2 reduction, disease resistance, species conservation, and much more.
As a production laboratory, we are subject to strict accreditation standards and need to meet specific requirements regarding turnaround times and quality levels. Therefore, we expect a high level of precision and efficiency in our work.

Job Description
This position offers 37 hours per week with some flexibility. While weekend and evening shifts may be required sometimes, the primary work schedule is during the weekdays from 6 AM to 6 PM.
The role is part of a small team, currently consisting of two Laboratory Technicians, but expected to grow.
Key responsibilities include conducting primary analyses such as NGS, qPCR, E-DNA, secondary microarray and extraction.

You will be responsible for managing your designated area, ensuring an efficient operation, maintenance, repair, and quality assurance of equipment. Additionally, you will collaborate with the team, project managers, quality assurance and other stakeholders to ensure the continuous updating of procedures and instructions related to your area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Professional Qualifications:
The position requires a relevant laboratory qualification, such as a degree in laboratory technology, bioanalysis, or a science-related field at a bachelor level or higher. For candidates with a scientific degree, the extent of laboratory experience will be considered. You are comfortable with IT system and can acquire new skills easily.

• Experience in DNA/RNA extraction and NGS is advantageous. Familiarity with pipetting robots and other automations is taken into consideration.
