In this role, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contractual agreements with major retailers, merchants, distributors, financial institutions, and business partners for payment acceptance and acquiring services. You will also manage responses to calls for tender, ensuring the company is positioned competitively. As a trusted legal advisor, you will identify and mitigate legal risks while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Internally, you will provide expert legal advice to stakeholders on client-related matters, helping to resolve complex issues effectively.
A key aspect of the role will involve collaborating with the Global Contract Manager to design and implement contract architectures and frameworks tailored to Market Pay’s target customer segments and business lines. You will work closely with business teams to ensure that the services they deliver remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, you will contribute to the success of their sales teams by developing training programs and support materials, ensuring alignment with group-wide requirements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contractual agreements.

• Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on client-related issues.
• Develop legal strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
about you
We are looking for a candidate with significant experience in commercial law, ideally within the payments, financial services or technology industries. You have a strong track record of drafting and negotiating complex contracts, combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide practical, business-focused advice. Experience working in a global or multinational environment is highly desirable, and a proactive, collaborative mindset is essential.
• More than 5 years of experience.
• A masters in law.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working cross-functionally with various departments (sales, finance, operations).
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
