We seek an innovative software engineer to join our outstanding Observability Platform (OP) team of highly skilled engineers – Brave engineers with a mission to improve developer efficiency in our digital organization, so we can reach even more kids with a digital experience – and have an upbeat experience ourselves along the path!
Core Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our new Observability Platform team. Who will be instrumental in developing and maintaining a unified observability platform that integrates technologies like Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, the ELK stack, Zabbix, and PagerDuty.
This role will collaborate with product teams to understand their observability needs and provide solutions that improve system visibility and performance. Also, develop and maintain monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of our infrastructure and applications.
- Automate observability processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Fix and resolve issues related to observability tools and systems.
- Know the latest with industry trends and new technologies in observability and recommend improvements to our platform.
- Contribute to the development of standard processes and guidelines for observability across the organization.

The position is part of the larger Developer Experience and Cloud Foundation area, providing product teams in the LEGO Group with foundational capabilities for developing, deploying, and operating IT solutions. As an engineer in OP, you will be part of a team that builds the next generation of our "Developer experience and Productivity platform".
In OP we strive to find the balance between reducing cognitive load with architecture guidelines and platforms and on the other side empowering developers to be in control of their code and architectures.
The team is based in the new LEGO® Digital Office in Copenhagen, offering an exciting, inspiring, and flexible work environment – and a little fun play as well!
Do you have what it takes?
Preferably applicants for this role have some years of experience in crafting and running observability platforms using Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK, Zabbix, PagerDuty or similar technologies. Preferred candidates hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or have equivalent working experience.
- Proficient understanding of monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting standard methodologies.
- Good understanding of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) standard methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar languages).
- Understanding of platform security is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.
Superb communication skills in written and spoken English, as well as ability to work closely and effectively in a team-oriented environment.
