Join our team based at the highly-rated Danske Bank campus in Copenhagen. A unique and very interesting role in the heart of investment banking and conflict management in a leading Northern European bank. Working securities product knowledge, fluent English, and a proactive and motivated attitude are essential to join this specialist team.
We are seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to join our close-knit team and assist us in ensuring that the organisation complies with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This is an important and highly visible role based in Denmark in which you can truly operate in collaboration with all levels of seniority and across the Group. The team will be split between Denmark and Lithuania, and this role will join the team in Denmark.
As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will specialise in core Control Room tasks. These include insider list and restricted list management (following EU Market Abuse Regulation, Article 18), wall crossings, deal and event logging management (supporting business selection conflict management due diligence), personal account dealing controls, investment research conflict clearance, research disclosures, and outside business interests assessment and conflict clearance.
You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our operations by ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. You will engage in a variety of tasks that include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Initiate pre-clearance assessments on personal account dealing requests submitted by the business
- Review investment research prior to market publication
- Manage various of our core ‘pillars’– information barriers, research, insider list management, personal account dealing, conflicts of interest, and/or outside business interests
- Conduct routine monitoring activities on risk-based alerts relating to personal account dealing activities
- Perform conflict assessments on outside business interest pre-clearances and disclosures

Who are you?
We are searching for a candidate who is proactive, forward-thinking and detail-conscious. You should enjoy and excel in intricate technical analysis, contributing effectively to our compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in Compliance or Risk Management, particularly within Control Room, Surveillance and Monitoring, or Employee Compliance-related activities
- Familiarity with the workings of investment banking, asset management, and brokerage operations (a legal background is not necessary)
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Advanced skills in English
- Solid analytical skills, along with good communication and interpersonal abilities
