Software Engineer with C++ experience
Weibel Scientific A/S
Do you want to develop high quality code for the world’s most advanced radar systems?
Are you looking for a job where you can create visible results used in world-class products and influence the overall development approach? Do you excel within C++ programming? Then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
At Weibel, you will join a truly international and technology driven company that delivers excellent radars across the world. For many years, we have set the global standards for high quality tracking radars. We develop and produce everything in-house at our facilities in Allerød, allowing you to witness the entire process from research and development to the finished product. The position provides an opportunity to share ideas and gain new knowledge with highly skilled specialist colleagues.
Develop our core software and drive quality control
Your primary focus will be on our core software products designed for time critical data processing on server hosts running either Linux or Windows. The software must be robust and high performing, as it needs to operate without patching or other attendance for several years. That is why doing things right matters more than doing things fast.
You will get the opportunity to influence all parts of the software development process from requirements to code – and you will experience that in Weibel there is a short distance from idea to action.
Your main tasks will be to:
- Develop our core software products for real-time data processing in C++.
- Drive quality control to improve compliance with e.g. MISRA C++:2023 guidelines, static code analysis, and our CI test framework.
- Ensure portable and safe code that can be compiled on both Windows and multiple Linux platforms – including network layer and communication protocols.
- Ensure safe code with respect to concurrency and resource control for all platforms.
You will develop software for actual products tested by yourself in real-life, you will get a comprehensive insight into how our systems work from a physical point of view to how operators use the systems in the field.
Several years of experience across architecture design and C++ programming
We are looking for a thorough developer with a quality mind-set and a passion for developing better solutions. Additionally, you are not afraid of challenging the status quo and find alternative ways forward. You are keen on sharing knowledge about tools and techniques to the benefit of the team.
Your CV ideally comprises:
- A university degree with software focus.
- Solid C++ experience with several years of experience, preferably C++17/20.
- Software architecture design experience.
- Experience with cross-platform development.
- Familiarity with Git, Clang, Docker, CMake, Linux and Windows are a plus.
- Experience with Static Code Analysis.
Your new team
You will join our team of eight very skilled and dedicated colleagues with backgrounds in electrical and software engineering. We manage all steps from design to implementation of software and algorithms with a high degree of corporation and open knowledge sharing. We prioritize on-going development of our processes and integrate new technology when necessary.
Our team is part of Weibel’s software group with more than 60 software and user interface developers. We are a part of Weibel’s Technology department of more than 180 engineers working on all aspects of our radar systems including systems engineering, test and integration, mechanical design, hardware development, microwaves, software and user interfaces.
