Release Manager for Software, Acoustic and Signal Processing, and Field Applications

We are looking for an experienced Release Manager to oversee and coordinate the release process for our software and applications related to acoustic and digital signal processing as well as field applications. As a Release Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our features and systems are delivered as they are prioritized, and align with the goals set.

At our global HQ, located in Ballerup, Denmark, you join our Audio Engineering team in the FalCom division, which is built on GN’s foundation as a known expert in intelligent audio solutions.
We create advanced hearing protection solutions that allow special operations, military, law enforcement and security personnel to communicate in the most extreme environments – all while providing quality hearing protection.
You will be part of a small organization of international software, DSP, acoustic, and field application engineers contributing to projects. The team offers a collaborative, fun and busy environment.
We develop sophisticated software and hardware for low power communication solutions. We work separately and also in teams when necessary, and together we navigate in a project-oriented development culture, collaborating with colleagues across GN and especially with our R&D and sales functions.
You report to Senior Manager Audio Engineering, Jens Kirkelund , who explains: “It’s a very interesting position. You’ll have great opportunity to get our department's deliverables into a consistent flow and you get experience with many different departments and work with all aspects of FalCom’s products as well as the customer solutions. Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the release of department deliverables and related activities.
- Coordinate Go-Live activities, including the execution of implementation plans and checklists.
- Collaborate with project management, sales, operations, and other departments to ensure effective product delivery.
- Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environments.
- Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and go/no-go reviews.
- Develop and maintain release documentation and implementation plans.
- Work with software, DSP, acoustic, and field application engineers to understand impacts of branches, hardware releases, and code merges.
- Ensure our features and systems are delivered as they are prioritized.
- Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- You know how to relate to employees' needs and feelings, and deal with changes and tasks readily.
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management.
- Effective organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
