As the Head of EHS Operations, you will lead the implementation of our global EHS framework, turning strategy into effective practices. Overseeing a team of four EHS Specialists across Denmark, Munich, and Bern, you will manage operational EHS at our Kvistgaard site, Hørsholm facility, and Hellerup office in Denmark, while collaborating with EHS representatives globally.

Aligned with our growing business strategy, this role offers exciting opportunities to shape global EHS initiatives. Occasional travel of 10–15 % is expected to support our different locations. Reporting to the Global EHS Director, you will champion Human and Operational Performance Principles (HOP) and our core values, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of safety and innovation.

Your Impact
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe working conditions while contributing to our global EHS programs. Your key tasks will include:

  • Operational Leadership: Lead safety programs, deliver training, and implement injury reduction and risk mitigation strategies
  • Cultural Change: Drive safety culture by integrating HOP Principles into daily operations
  • Project Support: Conduct gap assessments, identify improvements and implement EHS solutions
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure regulatory compliance, lead inspections, and manage incident investigations and risk assessments
  • Reporting & Metrics: Track and analyze operational EHS metrics to support continuous improvement

Are you our next pioneer?
To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or an EHS-related field with 10+ years of professional experience, or a master’s degree with 8+ years of experience
  • Minimum of 5 years leading an EHS team
  • Extensive hands-on experience with EHS programs, including knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is highly advantageous
  • Proficiency in English and Danish
  • Experience HOP and Kepner Tregoe RCA is a plus
