Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investments? Then Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is the perfect place for you. We are currently looking for an Associate to join CIP’s Flagship Investment Management Team in Seoul, Korea.

The team

You will join a highly motivated international group of colleagues with exceptional experience in investments, energy and infrastructure assets. The Investment Management team is responsible for CIP’s investments in construction and operations and works closely with other local and global teams within CIP.

As an Associate, you will support CIP’s investments in Korea, Taiwan and Japan together with the senior team members of the Investment Management team. The main responsibility will be to deliver on the investment performance, mitigate risks, and contribute to optimization initiatives throughout the investments’ construction phase and operation phase, including refinancing and divestment processes.

The Role:

  • Development of analysis and high-quality presentations for internal decision makers and external stakeholders on the investments’ performance
  • Working together with external advisors (legal, financial, and technical etc.) and JV partners
  • Review of financial assumptions, and preparation of investment analyses in close cooperation with CIP’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) department
  • Drive and support initiatives to optimize operational, technical and financial performance of the investments including refinancing and divestment processes
  • Research in relation to counterparties, markets and assets and preparation of associated risk analysis

You
The work environment at CIP is fast paced, stimulating, global and demanding. We are therefore looking for a self-driven, collaborative, and analytical professional holding a relevant degree within Economics, Finance, Business, or other related fields, and with 1-2 years of work experience in a similar position in an international organization.

Key qualifications include:

  • Be a team player with ability to engage with colleagues at all levels of seniority
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and very strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Korean, Mandarin, and/or Japanese language skills are considered a plus
  • Ability to work well under pressure and take on responsibility
  • Substantial experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with energy or infrastructure is an advantage, but not a requirement
  • A self-starter attitude with tenacity, initiative and a willingness to commit to deliver the required results
