HR/People Business Partner
WhiteAway Group
Looking for a role where you can put your HR skills to work every day? If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on role where you can directly impact the success of our teams, we’d love to have you on our team!
Whiteaway Group started with a simple idea, a commitment to our customers, and with a passion for digital innovation. Today, we’re a successful retailer, selling and delivering household appliances across Scandinavia. We’re change-makers at heart – it’s the very core of everything we do.
In this role, you’ll be the main HR point of contact for leaders, providing day-to-day support through every stage of the employee lifecycle. You’ll also be the lead architect of our employee development and retention programs that boost development, performance and retention.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Assist in recruiting and hiring, from job posting to interviewing and preboarding new hires.
- Advise on HR policies and ensure they are consistently applied across the organisation.
- Provide guidance on performance management, including supporting managers with performance discussions and goal setting.
- Manage engagement surveys and employee feedback, helping managers address concerns and improve team dynamics and performance.
- Be the HR team’s process lead on employee development and retention, i.e. design and drive general initiatives that focus on helping employees grow in their roles, stay engaged, and build long-term careers with us.
- Ensure smooth HR operations, making sure that our processes run efficiently and effectively.
What we’re looking for:
- You have a few years’ hands-on experience as an HR Coordinator, HR Specialist or similar, and you’re ready to take on broader responsibilities.
- You excel at providing support to employees and managers, addressing inquiries, clarifying policies, and offering solutions to HR challenges.
- You have a knack for improving workflows and ensuring smooth execution across all stages.
- You are highly organised, can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- You bring an analytical approach to HR, using data to provide insights and help drive HR strategies and decisions.
- It’s not a must, but HR experience from the retail industry is definitely a plus. Familiarity with Swedish or Norwegian employment laws is also a bonus, but not a requirement. If you’re willing to learn, we’re happy to support your growth in this area.
We like to think we have quite an amazing workplace, including:
- A dynamic and international environment with room for you to be you,
- Lots of opportunities for your own professional development and for you to make an impact,
- A flat, informal organisation with a high degree of independence and short decision-making processes,
- Attractive settings for the job, to mention some: flexible work hours, health care, lunch scheme, Friday breakfast, gym, and great social events.
