We are looking for a new colleague to join our Accounting and Procurement team in Copenhagen to drive Novo Holdings global procurement function and drive sourcing and supplier management forward.

The Job
As Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for the Global Novo Holdings Procurement function – total spends of DKK +350m (2023). You will drive sourcing and procurement processes as well as contract management, while maintain cost control and budget management, with the assistance from student assistants.

You will work closely with the teams in Finance, which aside Accounting and Procurement consists of Tax, FP&A, Investment Operations, Valuation and Facility Management., In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues on a daily basis across the organisation.

In the role you will:

  • Be responsible for the Global Novo Holdings Procurement function – total spends of DKK +350m (2023)
  • Drive sourcing and Supplier Management in collaboration with the Novo Holdings organisation
  • Establish and optimise procurement processes in an efficient and compliant manner
  • Ensure high quality contract management
  • Maintain Cost Control and Budget Management
  • Drive Risk Management and Compliance
  • Integrate responsible business practices into supplier selection, monitoring, and reporting (in coordination with the Sustainability & Impact team)

You will be a part of a highly motivated team with great colleagues who respect and appreciate each other. The team consists of nine team members, including three student assistants and is anchored in Finance & Operations that encompasses Finance, Risk & Performance, Sustainability and Impact, Legal, Strategy Office, and Digital.

Professional Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management and minimum 10 years of experience with most of the tasks above, preferably from an international environment
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, e-procurement platforms). Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft D365 BC, Continia products and Concur Travel is a plus
  • Solid understanding of contract law, procurement regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Danish and English language oral and written
