Senior Assets Category Manager

Cadeler is a global partner in the offshore wind industry, specializing in wind farm construction and maintenance. We are now looking for a Senior Category Manager to help develop and drive value optimization initiatives with a selected list of Cadeler’s strategic suppliers within machinery and critical fleet assets in the medium to long term horizon.

What will you do?
As our new Senior Category Manager, you will develop category strategies for the key Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in our fleet assets, which maximize customer value for money and a continuous improvement structure. You will maintain robust category management tools and processes, ensuring seamless strategy execution across the organization.

Your main tasks include:

• Designing, implementing and driving commercial negotiations or sourcing plans within the portfolio of strategic suppliers or partners together with the relevant stakeholders in the Technical, Operations or Project teams.
• Implement and facilitate the Supplier Relationship Management frameworks for our key asset related manufacturers, including the relevant Master Service Agreements.
• Developing and implementing cost-based reduction strategies capable of delivering annual target savings and cost mitigations.
• Conducting external research and analyzing market trends within the respective relevant markets.
• Understanding internal demand and previous purchasing habits, as well as working in close collaboration with the Operations and Technical teams to foresee future general demands.
• Developing an effective supplier performance management model for the suppliers within the category scope.
• Facilitating and actively supporting in the resolution of claims related to the services and goods provided by the suppliers and partners within the portfolio.
• Presenting reports and market studies to the management team and other key stakeholders highlighting any trends or issues within the machinery or heavy equipment related categories.

We think you will be a good match if you:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in relevant field of Engineering or Business Administration.
• 5+ years’ experience in Category Management related to technical categories, and preferably within monopolistic set ups.
• Strong and proven negotiation experience as well as prior experience with contract management.
• Experience with MS Office and good expertise in Excel for TCO and cost models, or other project management tools for project planning and management.
• Fluency in oral and written English.
• Off-shore O&G, Wind, maritime or shipping operational acumen is an advantage, particularly familiarization with the technicalities of off-shore related assets or vessels.
